Miroslav Mirosavljev, also known as Mickylee, has found his home in Vienna, Austria, where he has been an active participant in the local music scene for many years. After obtaining his Master of Arts Degree in Jazz Guitar and Jazz Composition from the University for Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz, Mickylee primarily focused on playing and teaching. His portfolio also includes composing music for theater and motion pictures. During his collaboration with Virtual Sheet Music, he arranged numerous works for solo guitar and various ensembles, such as string quartets and brass quartets.

In 2001, Mickylee received the 1st prize at the International Big Band Composition Contest in Barga, Italy. He regularly performs in Austria and across Europe, and he has also played concerts in North America, Africa, and Asia. On his YouTube channel, Mickylee has approximately 400 videos, largely due to his 2013 project called “Daily Solo,” where he posted a video every day for an entire year. His solo album “deComposing Cats” solidified his position among the top Jazz/Fusion guitar players in this part of the world. Additionally, Mickylee is a member of the Viennese Fusion/Funk band Inspirational Corner, with whom he recorded the album “Chameleon Lab Explosion.” He also collaborated with renowned guitarists John Stowell and Ulf Bandgren on the album “Portuguese Blue,” published under one of the best Austrian labels “Quinton Records”. His most recent project, the self-titled album “Revival,” features his long-time friend and musical colleague, acclaimed singer Chanda Rule.

Mickylee is not only a performer but also a passionate educator. He founded “Guitar Days”, an international workshop and festival held annually in Brunn am Gebirge since July 2021. This event brings together some of the finest names in the worldwide jazz guitar community. Distinguished musicians like Peter Bernstein, Jonathan Kreisberg, Gilad Hekselman, and John Stowell have shared their expertise at Guitar Days, creating an inspiring environment for learning, jamming, and celebrating music.
In addition, Mickylee teaches as a University Professor at the JAM MUSIC LAB Private University Vienna, where he also holds the position of Dean of Studies.
